Mina Bionta has a PhD in Physics and is a Senior Postdoctoral Associate in the Quantum Nanostructures and Nanofabrication group in the Research Laboratory of Electronics at MIT. Her research focuses on the characterization and study of light-matter interactions using nanoscale devices with the goal of understanding how a strong electric field can both change and be used to characterize the electronic and atomic properties of a sample. She explores physical phenomena on their natural timescales by developing simple to implement techniques that study the interaction of complex materials with light in unique and innovative ways. In her spare time Mina enjoys cooking, running, and traveling.
