The Marble Center for Cancer Nanomedicine brings together leading faculty from the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research to focus on grand challenges in cancer diagnosis and treatment that could benefit from the emerging biology and physics of the nanoscale.
These challenges include developing new methods for earlier cancer detection, harnessing the immune system to fight cancer even as it evolves, exploiting cancer genomics insights to design therapies for ‘undruggable’ targets, combining existing drugs for synergistic action, and creating tools for improved surgical intervention. Industry and other external organizations can partner with the Marble community to enhance resources — technology, funding, and training — needed to bring both focus and speed to this multidisciplinary effort.
